Changing the look of my blog

I had initially chosen the Notable template in turquoise as I like the bold colour but still found it easy to look.  It is in the blue/green spectrum which I think is more appealing that the hotter colours to read.  I experimented with a selection of templates/themes from the available range and eventually selected the one with a picture of bookshelves in the background as it is appropriate for the library subject matter.  Even though it is in a range of colours, the picture is simple enough that it makes an interesting but not too busy background for the blog.
